• Late Post 2: Montego Bay, Jamaica

Since this is a late post, I should say that I went to Montego Bay Jamaica on April 24th and returned back to Miami on the 29th. So, I was in Jamaica for 5 days and 4 nights and my visit to the country was limited to Montego Bay. Unlike Barbados, you cannot drive the entire island of Jamaica in a Day– and because my stay was not as long as it was in Trinidad and Tobago, I did not do much sight seeing outside of Montego Bay. That being said, I really enjoyed Montego Bay, although I would not necessarily travel there without company. The streets are not that…

  • PlannerCon 2018, San Francisco Weekend: Day 3

Sunday, March 4 On Sunday, I got a lot of sightseeing done! …Yes, I did skip out on my workshop session #4: Digital Tricks and Planning –because I questioned the type of practical advice I would be given. It also did not help that this workshop leader gave a speech on Saturday afternoon, and again on Sunday morning.  I was getting an overload from him it seemed. I did support his non-profit for Foster Youth– called Evolve U– on Friday night, and had a nice conversation with one of the Foster Youth. I also stayed for Sunday’s opening by Louise and got to hear Nicole Rixon from Sweet Stamp Shop…

  • PlannerCon 2018, San Francisco Weekend: Day 2

Saturday, March 3 Because I have a habit of sleeping early and waking up late, I woke up at 5:11AM on Saturday morning Pacific Standard Time (PST)— whomp. I had to get up early anyway to visit the Hotel’s gift shop, because on Friday night I realized that I didn’t pack my toothpaste. I preface Saturday with this to tell you: never forget your toothpaste! $6.99 for a travel toothpaste is ridiculous!  Anyway, Saturday was officially the first day of PlannerCon. I woke up early and met my #soloyolo buddy downstairs at 7:30AM in the hotel for breakfast— which was amazing! Candied pecan pancakes and eggs at 3SIXTY: We then…

  • PlannerCon 2018, San Francisco Weekend: Day 1

Initially, this was going to be one post about my entire weekend at PlannerCon 2018. However, I am heeding my mom’s advice and will stop making excessively long blog posts, in favor of shorter ones. You can read Saturday and Sunday’s post up on my blog in the read next section. Friday, March 2 At 6:30AM on Friday I called a Lyft to drive me to Miami International Airport. By 8:40AM I was well on my way to San Francisco to attend PlannerCon 2018. After landing, I met up with someone I was speaking to in the PlannerCon Social group, to go and see the Golden Gate Bridge together. We were…

  • #ImGoingToPlannerCon2018 & My Left-Handed Planner is here!

In twelve days, I will be in San Francisco,CA attending PlannerCon 2018! I am very much looking forward to this trip because not only will it be my first time on the true Western coast of the USA, but I will be attending a conference dedicated to planning and stationery. When I say this out loud, I feel like I have officially reached the highest level of stationery nerd that there is. I mean— why else would I be at a convention for planning and stationery!?!  Anyway, I can’t wait to share this experience with you all through my Blog, Instagram, and Sincerely, Tawm on Facebook, so do be on…

  • Wedding Looks

I am so excited to have attended a union of two people that I am getting to know! I have not attended a wedding in such a long time, that I was super excited and happy to have been able to attend theirs. The day and night was amazing and made me almost realize why people are excited to get married.

  • Life and Planner Updates!

To start, apparently I subconsciously have decided that in 2018 I will overwork myself (towards positive goals). Not only am I in the midst of preparing for my comprehensive examinations in grad school (and taking a single course and TA’ing), but I’ve also decided to physically create a planner this year to utilize for myself. Proudly, I am 100% done with the creation of a planner— in terms of layout and design; And I believe that I am closer to finding a print shop to print the final product. Needless to say, I feel that I am 80% of the way done with creating my left-handed planner! Below are the…

  • Happy New Year! 2018 Self Expectations…

This year, I have set a few expectations for myself in order to continue achieving my goals. These expectations are realistic ones, in the sense that they are simply a continuation of my progress from last year. I am not in to making resolutions. Instead, I have goals with steps that are necessary to make in order to reach them. My Expectations for myself in 2018 I intend to be more organized in my personal life than I was last year. And I think that to achieve this goal, I must exhibit more self-discipline, when it comes to myself, than I have in the past. For those of you who…

  • Day 12: NYC

The past nine days since my last update have been pretty uneventful and typical of the holiday’s: last minute shopping, running errands, buying food, staying up late, waking up early, thinking about what to wear, and–you get the point. I did go to a Christmas “party” with my mom, nephew and younger brother. But I was mostly on Aunt and big sister, duty. I really dislike supervising kids. This is the first Holiday season without my grandmother though, and this is what has been felt the most…just knowing that she’s not here and won’t be able to celebrate another year of life…that gets to me sometimes. I did manage to…

  • Day 3: I’m in New York!

So, I arrived in New York City a little after 8:30PM on Friday (12/15). Technically, my flight landed at 6:35PM, but we ran into problems securing a load-off gate. We were finally able to get off of the plane around 7:10PM, and I did not have any checked bags. It was hell trying to secure a Lyft at LGA and the taxi line was super long… I should note that I was extra salty, that my mom or beau couldn’t pick me up. I ended up getting a shuttle to 42nd street and grabbing a bite to eat on the way to Robert’s (beau’s name) apartment. At Robert’s, I spent…
