• #ImGoingToPlannerCon2018 & My Left-Handed Planner is here!

In twelve days, I will be in San Francisco,CA attending PlannerCon 2018! I am very much looking forward to this trip because not only will it be my first time on the true Western coast of the USA, but I will be attending a conference dedicated to planning and stationery. When I say this out loud, I feel like I have officially reached the highest level of stationery nerd that there is. I mean— why else would I be at a convention for planning and stationery!?!  Anyway, I can’t wait to share this experience with you all through my Blog, Instagram, and Sincerely, Tawm on Facebook, so do be on…

  • Wedding Looks

I am so excited to have attended a union of two people that I am getting to know! I have not attended a wedding in such a long time, that I was super excited and happy to have been able to attend theirs. The day and night was amazing and made me almost realize why people are excited to get married.

  • Doughnuts, TJMaxx, Museums, & Instagram-Blog Inspiration?!?

The month of February has been off to a very fast start—even though January seemed to have lasted forever. i’ve already had to spend money on bills, bills, bills…. but, i have been dying for February to come. Not only is it BLACK HISTORY MONTH— but I am a huge Marvel fan and cannot wait to see the new Black Panther Movie in theaters on February 15th! I will get made up to simply go to the movies and watch it, because I’m Black and February commands I be extra about my blackness whenever i want to. Four days ago I made a blog post where I mostly updated about…

  • Life and Planner Updates!

To start, apparently I subconsciously have decided that in 2018 I will overwork myself (towards positive goals). Not only am I in the midst of preparing for my comprehensive examinations in grad school (and taking a single course and TA’ing), but I’ve also decided to physically create a planner this year to utilize for myself. Proudly, I am 100% done with the creation of a planner— in terms of layout and design; And I believe that I am closer to finding a print shop to print the final product. Needless to say, I feel that I am 80% of the way done with creating my left-handed planner! Below are the…

  • A Planner for Lefties?

Hello Everyone! This is my first time using my new self-hosted site to post on my blog which is very exciting! Although I have a million things on my mind, something that I would like to share with the world (and you all), is something that I have been thinking about for two years and “working” on for about 5 months now. I put working in quotations because my commitment to actually creating something physical has been, admittedly, lackluster. But I believe that this year, I will manifest my ideas and creations moreso than any other year. I will be posting–at later times–about some of the things that I have…

  • Happy New Year! 2018 Self Expectations…

This year, I have set a few expectations for myself in order to continue achieving my goals. These expectations are realistic ones, in the sense that they are simply a continuation of my progress from last year. I am not in to making resolutions. Instead, I have goals with steps that are necessary to make in order to reach them. My Expectations for myself in 2018 I intend to be more organized in my personal life than I was last year. And I think that to achieve this goal, I must exhibit more self-discipline, when it comes to myself, than I have in the past. For those of you who…

  • Day 12: NYC

The past nine days since my last update have been pretty uneventful and typical of the holiday’s: last minute shopping, running errands, buying food, staying up late, waking up early, thinking about what to wear, and–you get the point. I did go to a Christmas “party” with my mom, nephew and younger brother. But I was mostly on Aunt and big sister, duty. I really dislike supervising kids. This is the first Holiday season without my grandmother though, and this is what has been felt the most…just knowing that she’s not here and won’t be able to celebrate another year of life…that gets to me sometimes. I did manage to…

  • Call Me By Your Name (CMBYN). A Review

This past Saturday, on December 23rd, I went to see the movie Call Me By Your Name, at The Paris Theatre on W 58th St. My friends– new and long acquainted–and I had originally intended to go ice skating, but it rained and was cold all day on Saturday. So my newly acquainted friend recommended we go see this new movie at the theatre, and I am glad that we received this recommendation. It is very rare to get me to go and see a romance film, a drama film, and even rom-coms. But I LOVE a good film. So, from time to time, I find myself only interested in watching…

  • Day 3: I’m in New York!

So, I arrived in New York City a little after 8:30PM on Friday (12/15). Technically, my flight landed at 6:35PM, but we ran into problems securing a load-off gate. We were finally able to get off of the plane around 7:10PM, and I did not have any checked bags. It was hell trying to secure a Lyft at LGA and the taxi line was super long… I should note that I was extra salty, that my mom or beau couldn’t pick me up. I ended up getting a shuttle to 42nd street and grabbing a bite to eat on the way to Robert’s (beau’s name) apartment. At Robert’s, I spent…
